Inayat Malik

Statement

Inayat Malik is a mixed media artist based in New Delhi, India. She graduated with a BA in Fine Arts from Chelsea College of Art, London, in 2024. Working with found materials, textiles, photographs, and digital tools, she builds large and small scale collages that blur the lines between different mediums. Her interest lies in transforming the ordinary—objects, textures, patterns, and scenes from daily life—into collages that feel both familiar and abstract. Materials are essential to her work, not just for their surface qualities but for the memories and meanings they carry. Having participated in residencies in Barcelona and Paris, she developed site-responsive mixed media works exploring materiality and urban texture.
